You don’t have to be religious to appreciate the beauty of these songs; we will probably have a sprinkling of singers from many religions plus agnostics and atheists.

Registrations are not necessary but we would appreciate it if you let us know you are coming.

Time: 7.00 pm start.   Finishes promptly at 8.45 pm.

Place: Green Point Community Centre,  96 Koolang Road, Green Point. (Heating and cooling available).

Time: 10.00 am start.  Finishes promptly at 11.45 am

Place: CWA Hall,  Terrigal.

This is located in the area behind the Crown Plaza Hotel which contains a multi-level parking lot and the Bowling Club.  The official address is on Wilson Road but you may get lost looking for it on that road.   Follow the signs to the bowling club which is behind the parking block, and instead of turning left into the bowling club, turn right into the parking lot of the CWA.

Parking: Excellent.  Huge level lot just by the building.

Central Coast Singing Workshops

present our second community workshop:

SING UP!

Our first workshop was a great fun with over 60 singers creating a beautiful sound in 4-6 part harmonies, followed by a sumptuous shared afternoon tea.  We have had wonderful encouragement to organise this next one.   Many singers who can’t come on Sundays have requested that we do one on a Saturday.   We also had requests that we start and finish earlier so we’ll see how this one works.  Thanks for all your feedback and enthusiastic support.

MID-WINTER COMMUNITY SINGING WORKSHOP

Anyone who would like to sing is welcome. There is no pressure to sing incredibly well. The common bond we have is that everyone loves to sing.  That’s it!
If you’d like to stay for afternoon tea please bring a plate to share.

Since many of you are coming to the Kavisha Mazzella Workshop on Saturday March 17 this is a proposal for a lunch get-together so that the Tuesday evening group and Thursday morning group can finally meet each other and perhaps have a group photo taken.

How about we meet in the SECOND HALF OF LUNCHTIME ?   That’s because I may be busy with attendee problems or fixing sound problems for Kavisha etc in the first half.    It will also give you time to find a takeaway place to buy some lunch if you don’t bring it – and to socialise with the other workshoppers.

Your friends and partners who are not Jubila Singers are very welcome to be there too – warn them that we may rope them in to take the photos however…

When:  30 minutes into the lunch break.   At the moment we are expecting Kavisha to stop for lunch at 12.30 – 1.30 pm.    Adjust accordingly when the time comes.

Where:  Foyer of the workshop venue. We may adjourn to another place after we meet.

Dress for photo:  Prints!  (But no Hawaiian since there is another group on Central Coast with Hawaiian shirts as their uniform).   Any colour prints…wild – demur –hats – scarves – dresses – shirts… you choose.

Thank you last year’s singers for making newcomers feel welcome.   It’s even more important this year – most people find it pretty daunting to walk into a room full of people who know each other as you will all remember.

Oh – and don’t forget to register for the Kavisha Mazzella workshop on March 17 if you are likely to come.   And have you heard the great excitement?   Stephen Taberner and The Spooky Men’s Chorale will also be coming the night before for the Ettalong Beach Ball.
